Being a bridal Makeup Artist covering the North West and North Wales, I am lucky to work regularly at Thornton Manor in Cheshire and as one of their preferred suppliers I am at the venue lots.
The Thursday before good Friday I was doing the wedding for Vicky. Vicky was getting married in one of the venues on the estate and her venue was the Waterside Pavilion, a lovely place to wed next to a pond overlooking the extensive grounds of the manor.
She was getting ready in the Thatched Cottage on site which was just gorgeous to work from and lots of natural light seeping through the window.
A fun morning as I got to work with my good friend Jane Hockey Bridal Photographer.
Vicky’s style for the day being laid back and rustic so wanted this to reflect in her overall look, naturally sunkissed with pretty freckles, she wanted these to show through the makeup and I used a light layer of airbase airbrush. The beauty of airbase makeup is that it can be applied in a light way to mimic the effects of a tinted moisturiser right through to a full coverage heavy base.
Her eyes I wanted them to sparkle I used peach tones with neutral browns and champagne tones from my Too Faced Peach palette. I used a peach toned blush on the apples of her cheeks from Peggy Sage Code and her lips I used a nude shade called “I do” from Love Honour and be True.
Her 2 bridesmaids one being her best friend and the other her teenage daughter being in bright coral gowns I wanted to pick up on those shades using the peach tones from my too faced palette, with some golds and browns, on the lips I used Love Honour and be True “blushing bride”
Gorgeous lady and chilled and relaxed morning and I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of it.
