I love the girls that run a forum group on Facebook called Wirral Weddings, I have been a member of the group since my wedding prep back in 2013. The group is a mix of brides to be, past brides and of course us wedding suppliers, its a source of information for brides and a place that past brides recommend suppliers they have used. Suppliers like myself get to advertise every Monday and Thursday.
Vikki Sweeney who runs Sapphire Events venue dressing and Lindsey Devlin from Devlin Designs (bespoke Bridal Stationery) started the group and it now has about 7,000 members and from this it has morphed into wedding fayres which I have supported from the start and I really like the energy of both girls and I have watched the fayres go from little acorns to something bigger over the last couple of years.
I was asked to do the recent Leasowe Castle Bridal Show and I was asked to do the makeup for the 5 models for the catwalk show and when doing makeup for catwalk I always like to do a different look for each of the girls and here are the looks I created.
Hollywood Glamour and Red Carpet
For this look I used my Charlotte Tilbury Palette called Natural Beauty, the eyeshadow tones are taupes with a champagne tone. For the skin I used Airbase Makeup and for contour and highlight back to Charlotte Tilbury Film Star bronze and glow the lips I used a gloss from Peggy Sage called Silky lips in a perfect bright red.
Classic Vintage with a pop of colour
A vintage look is always a classic its simple but always very effective, I kept the eye very simple opting for just a wash of a champagne shimmers and then I used a liquid line to line all around the eye, I chose not to opt for a liner flick as the model has slight hooding to the eye and it would never have looked as good. I airbrushed her skin and contoured with Anastasia Beverley hills Contour Palette and I finished off for a bright pop of lipstick and I used a Lime Crime Liquid lipstick called True Love, its a brilliant pink/red.
The 3rd look was a very classic bridal look with subtle brown smoke. For the eyes I used my Kat Von Dee shade and light palette which is so good, all matte shades and brilliant pigmentation, I lined the eye with my Inglot gel liners. For the skin I wanted to keep the coverage light but with some dewiness so I used a foundation by Laura Mercier called Silk Crème. Finally the lips I used a lip gloss from Peaches Makeup called Babe, its a gorgeous pinky nude.
Romantic modern with a hint of pink
The next look I decided to do something that is very current and it was a very romantic look, to create this I used my new Modern Renaissance Palette by Anastasia Bev Hills, and the tones in this are pinks and burnt oranges with a brown on the outer corner of the eye, I lined the eye with my Inglot Gel liner. Again I airbrushed the skin and contoured again with the Anastasia Bev Hills palette I used a highlight from Peggy Sage Cosmetics. Lips I used a pink gloss from Kiko Cosmetics.
The final look I wanted to keep it very natural and very glowy, I used my Peaches Palette from Too Faced the colours are lovely in this palette and I used the peach tones with browns on the eyes. For the base I wanted a dewy finish and very natural I used RCMA (a fave of Kim K) and Charlotte Tilbury Film Star Bronze and glow. I used a lipstick called I do from Love Honour and be True.
I like to show my versatility when doing the catwalk I want to show brides that I can come up with something different for each bride.
