I often do styled shoots with other bridal suppliers because it helps to show off my versatility to create so many different looks, it helps to show brides that I have a understanding of fashion and bridal fashion does change quickly. Bridal style is not as quick changing as everyday fashion but nevertheless its good to be part of paving the way and seeing all the up and coming styles.
I therefore did an amazing shoot back in March at the grounds of Arley Hall. The venue was keen to showcase the old Barn at the entrance to the estate, perfect for brides looking for a more rustic styled wedding and opting for outdoors/indoors type wedding. They wanted to show it dressed and in a bridal setting so brides could see how it would work for them.
For the venue dressing we had the services of Qube Events and Emmylou a Freelance Bridal stylist, who took the initial mood board created and worked around the original vision for the overall look.
Photographer was Kat Hannon Mayo who is great to work with she is so stylish and you will see from my blogs that I have worked with Kat on many occasions now.
Dresses were divine and these by Charlotte Balbier and mix of dresses and two pieces a crop top and skirts and some in floral print. Shoes from Emmy London.
We had 2 models to work with Bethany our blonde model and Maddie a brunette. Carol and I wanted to keep it all very soft and romantic.
Bethany I have worked with on several occasions and I love her look, she is so pretty, girl next door. I decided to use blush pinks in her makeup, and I used Airbase Makeup for her base, and on the eyes I used a palette from Charlotte Tilbury from last year, it was a limited edition called Legendary muse. Her blush and highlight again from Charlotte Tilbury.
Maddie our second model was recommended to me from another MUA, and her look very sexy and sultry, with her olive colouring I wanted to keep it to the peachy tones. I used my Too Faced Peaches Palette, Laura Mercier Silk Crème and a Nude Gloss from Peaches Makeup.
Carol Ellis-Thompson my friend and hair stylist, created loose and romantic styles incorporating real flowers.
We also had a cake on the shoot and this was created by Cake by Yolk.
The images from this shoot were gorgeous and this shoot was published in the Spring/Summer edition of Your Cheshire and Merseyside wedding.
